Hello, i just started with Mikrotik boards and tried to realize a failover from installed 3G Card (Sierra Wireless) to second WAN interface in case of lost 3G Net. I tried to realize this by IP Routes (if 3G is down the Route will change to 2nd WAN interface) what generally works but i realized the following Problem:
If the signalstrength of the 3G Card is very weak (nearly no Signal) the Router keeps the modem route until the mobile-signal is absolutely lost. During this “Low Signal” condition there is no data Connection due to the weak signalstrength (sometimes a few hours ).
Is there a way to realize the failover depending on the signalstrength of the modem Card?
Let’s say: if signalstrength is less than 95db for x seconds then switch over to 2nd WAN and back If signalstrength is more than 95db for x seconds.
