Failover Scenario

I’m new to MikroTik and I was wondering if this was possible and roughly how difficult to achieve.

I will eventually have 2 PtP bridge links, no gw/routing at this point. I want it to be setup in a failover situation.

  1. One PtP is based on a pair of Wi-Lan devices. (let’s say 192.168.5.1 and .2)
  2. Second will be based on a pair of Mikrotik devices. This will be the primary link. (let’s say 192.168.5.3 and .4)

What equipment and roughly how can this be achieved? If the primary fails, I want it to be switched to the Wi-Lan devices. IP’s can be adjusted as needed.

Would it be easier if I used all Mikrotik devices?
