desperately need help,had been cracking up my head…went browsing through the manual, wiki, forum…
found this script from a previous post on emailing wireless registration coz i intend to obtain signal strength and data rate through my email:
/interface wireless registration-table print detail file=out.text
/tool e-mail send to=“xx@xxx.xxx” subject=(“Wireless Registration”.[/system identity get name]) file=out.text from=xxx@xxx.com server=xx.xx.xx.xx
Unfortunately, despite several trials,still i did not get any email.Its weird coz im able to run the script,check logging:no error
1)What is meant by IP address of one’s email server?(im realli dumb,do enlighten me ps)
Tried to ping mail.google.com…got the ip address but request timeout..does that mean that i should change some settings so that email can be sent from the router?
Tried different IP address for the server like hotmail, yahoo, smtp.gmail (by ping command and all showed request timeout)but to no avail..still got nothing even though the run script counter was increasing each time i run manually
2)i checked the system clock date and time…still got nothing
really really appreciate any advice or recommendations.
im going nuts bout scripting.
