Fans high speed after shutdown

I did a bit of searching, but didn’t find this specific issue. I’m working on a CCR2004. I shut it down in Winbox, because I didn’t want to just pull the plug with it running.

After shutdown, the fans, which hardly ever run, started stepping up in speed until, it seems, they’re maxed out.

Is this a “feature” I just don’t understand? Shouldn’t the whole system, including the fans, power off after shutdown?

Completely misleading.

Shutdown in RouterOS, except on x86 or CHR devices, doesn't exist.

In fact, there isn't even a "power on" button or similar, precisely because they're supposed to be "on" 24/7.

If you want to turn them off, unplug them or install a controlled outlet.
