My XPS 9510 laptop doesn’t fast roam on wifiwave2. Often when I move between APs or when it decides to try another AP radio I’m disconnected, sometimes for minutes at a time. Mikrotik support doesn’t know if this card supports 802.11r without issues. Does anyone see fast roaming working on an Intel AX201 or AX1650 card?
What do you image under fast roam on wifiwave2? What AP devices? How many AP devices?
In the logs my other clients show “[client MAC]@[radio name] roamed to [client MAC]@[radio name]” when fast roaming. My XPS only ever has a disconnect/reconnect log entry or the dreaded SA Query Timeout.
This is a 2x hAPax3 setup with an rb5009 as capsman controller.
in windowsOS intel cards have a setting to adjust the roaming behavior, that maybe can help you
Adjusting roaming aggressiveness changes the behaviour speed, but fast roaming still doesn’t work.
