Hi. Is it possible to fast track “one way” of the connection (download) but exclude the other way (upload) so it can be queued?
I am trying fast track download but keep queues for upload on a DSL line.
But any rule i try either fast tracks all or nothing - I have tried to limit the fast track forward rule to dst 192.168.0.0/24, and also tried to limit to IN-interface Ether1 (WAN), but the result is the same - all or nothing.
Fasttrack works with whole connections. those from connection tracking point of view are bidirectional.
If you can use other option to separate download heavy connection from upload heavy connection (maybe point of initialization ), you can maybe separate something.
This is precisely the limitation I have with using Fasttrack.
My upstream connection is maxed out at 2.4mbps (while I have a much bigger downstream pipe at 100mbps). I have 2 VoIP connections on my network.
With Fasttrack running, FSF on VoIP conversations became negative. We have no problem hearing on our end but the other party feels like we talk to them from a remote area in a third world country - with many words missing in between.
