Datasheet says: TESTED with and Optimized for MT :sunglasses:

25W, good.

$300 USD for a mPCI card… ouch… that’s gonna hurt.

2.4GHz CPE for about $150 vs 3.5GHz for no less than $400.

Has anyone found a supplier that is under $300?

Where are you seeing this pricing at?

I can’t find it now. I googled it for about a half hour and stumbled over it.

This is another supplier, same price.

Well, that certainly sucks.

Notice in the XR3 spec sheet, there are three separate versions of the card. The one on Microcom’s site is the XR3-105 (for 3.5 WiMAX). The XR3-107 is needed for 3.65-3.7 operation. I’m guessing the XR3-107 is a version with the contention mechanism and can be used on both the lower and upper 25Mhz. But what about when coupled with RouterOS v3 and the disable-CSMA option?

Everyone really needs to read the rules carefully. Dont buy something that will get you into trouble in your area. Even though Ubiquiti says it’s Unlicensed 3650, you will need a license.

I haven’t read it all yet, but if it sticks with the previous system, it is unlicensed, but requires registration of the basestation. That is about the only way they can keep a handle on it without shutting out the little guys. Sprint/Nextel owns 70% of the spectrum here and they offer no services in my area.

to use wimax in poland with these cards they will have possility to set channel width
1.75, 2.5, 3.5, 5, 6, 7, 10, 14 mhz
I don;t see it in tech doc. just 5,10,20,40 mhz step

because it’s not a wimax card, it’s a 3Ghz card …

Well, in poland you have to buy a license to use 3,4-3,6 band and it is not cheap if you want to have more then 10mbps throuput, So I don;t see a point to change 5ghz to 3,5ghz
