Feature request: actions depending on SNMP values

I would like to see a feature that would run a notification action when a monitored value is above/below a configurable value for more than a (also configurable  ) time.

So if the bandwidth on a certain link is above 10 mbit/s for more than 60 seconds, trigger a notification.
Or if CPU load is over 60% for more than 30 seconds, trigger a notification.
Or if the SNMP-monitored board temperature is below 0 degree C for more than 1 minute, notify me (heating may be defective).

You get the idea…

Best regards,
Christian Meis

cool idea i really need this too, its just like an smnp trap that will send per exemple an email notify or alert if like u discribe above, cpu is usage is higher than 60% or link usage is above 70% for about 5minutes in a row.

its will be very cool and easier then the smnp trap and smnp receivers based in linux

Threshold alarms would be very useful, especially if you could base them on a schedule. So, if someone regularly does offsite backups at 4 am, the utilization alarm could be ignored during that time frame - only alarming if the backups were taking longer than expected.
