Right now, if interference is detected slightly above the noise floor (around 2 or 3 dB), the router waits for the interference to stop before transmitting. This is part of the CCA process to avoid collisions. However, I would like the option to change this threshold. For example, setting it to 10 dB above the noise floor.
Or, perhaps, only honoring CCA towards our own APs and ignoring hostile APs.
If it were me, I’d even add an option to transmit noise whenever another AP is transmitting (jokes aside it could actually be an interesting security feature to jam hostile / unauthorized communications).
