Could there be the addition of band specification in the connect list?
Almost 100% of my RouterOS network uses dual-band (2.4/5 GHz) radio cards, and about 50% of the antenna’s are dual-band as well.
I am slowly migrating my entire network (well as much as possible) to 5GHz, but I am not taking any of my existing 2.4 GHz AP’s down as a result many CPE’s have the ability to connect to either a 2.4 GHz AP or a 5 GHz AP. If we could specifiy the band and the SSID my CPE’s would be able to dynamically change band’s without invervention if there would be a need (ie. equipment failure, maintenance, etc.)
Adding this feature allows PtP connections to dynamically adjust themselves based on circumstance as well (eg. you typcially you 20 MHz channels, but do to weather or unknown factors the link could change to 10 Mhz based on a drop in signal all automatically)
I would like to see this in v3.x but if its not possible then adding it to v4.x would be a welcome addition.
