I think that some would utilize BLE beacons to advertise hotspots or other things at their location. Or be able to execute scripts when signal from mac is detected or is over or below signal threshold.
Meraki has a dedicated BLE radio in some of their access points now. Its high on the geek level but there is some usefulness.
