As we know DNS server supports several algorithms when response one FQDN with muliple A/AAAA records
- fixed - records are returned in the order they are defined in the zone file
- random - records are returned in a random order. It’s deliberate as default.
- cyclic - records are returned in a round-robin fashion. See Round-robin DNS
That are options of DNS rrset-order, see reference doc of BIND: DNS BIND9 Query Statements
And I tried static DNS function on Mikrotik ROS 7.16 beta3 x86_64, and observed only random behavior.
So, Mikrotik developers, would you please consider to implement DNS rrset-order all the options?
