/ip dns set allow-remote-requests=yes servers=2001:4860:4860::8888,2001:4860:4860::4444
When using advertise-dns in IPv6-ND, does RouterOS distribute itself to the clients? Or the list set in IP-DNS? The allow-remote-requests=yes leads me to believe it advertises itself for queries..
Can we please be allowed/able to set the DNS servers advertised on a per-interface basis.
So far RouterOS just takes IPv6 resolvers from “/ip dns” and sends them to clients. It works, but it bypasses DNS cache on router. When DHCPv6 is used, you can override DNS using DHCP option and set what you want (in a not very admin-friendly way, but at least it’s possible). If you have only radvd, it’s just resolvers from “/ip dns” or nothing.
I guess, it would take very little work to add this, then very little work to add <very useful feature #2>, … and finally few finishing touches for <very useful feature #X> and that’s when we’ll get the unicorn.
