Nstreme after 4 years still better performance than NV2.
Please consider upgrade old Nstreme like this:

  1. Aggregation - Framer limit beyond 4000 bytes maybe 8000 or 64000b (good for 40&80Mhz channels) ?
  2. Different Framer limit for download & upload. Maybe exact size 64000b DL & 500 for UL (At the expense of upload greater resistance to noise)
  3. Fast reconnect after DC no scan all scan list channels just reconnect again in milliseconds.

I still use Nstreme for PtP links. I’d love to see some improvements. NV2 is nice for PtMP but not for PtP IMHO.

Me too …

I still run the whole ISP on nstreme, its faster here when you have a low count of clients each sektor (4-5 …).

Nstreme may have better performance than NV2 for PTP but when I try to use it links keep disconnecting, so Nstreme is not as robust to co-location interference as NV2 is,
so add to requested features
4) Co-Location Interference suppression

Try disabling CSMA if you haven’t:

/interface wireless nstreme
set wlan1 disable-csma=yes enable-nstreme=yes

The fine manual suggests that NV2 disables it automatically.

All time disable CSMA …
Nv2 use dynamic aggregation & make smaller frames if no need.
