With the likes of UBNT now sporting flashy titles such as “smart queue management” and digging down to discover that in reality it’s “just” implementation of fq_codel. Would there be the chance of implementing it into the next generation of RouterOS? I understand that it requires a Linux kernel later than that used by v6 so preemptively hoping it could be adding to the next generation?
I believe pfSense are also on the verge of having this implemented into a GUI usable format and it has been around by CLI for some time now and whilst using a simple SFQ in MikroTik gets you a “nearly” marker, a full like for like implementation would be brilliant.
Ideally it could be done in a basic manner such as a simple queue that you can select instead of “default-small”?
