I’d be nice to not only graph bits/s transferred over interfaces with Mikrotik’s graphing function, but to graph total bandwidth used in Bytes.
I know this can be done via MRTG+RRDtool and SNMP remotely, but it’d be nice to have a feature showing customers their bandwidth by accessing their CPE/Router device and viewing a graph. I haven’t seen any feature like this on any SOHO grade router (without custom firmware) and being that interface graphing already exists it would seem simple to add a function to graph total Bytes transferred.
Being that most providers are now using data usage caps this would give the end user a way to track their usage locally.
Anyway more of a wish than anything else.
I agree. Showing an easy/quick, WEB accessible graph to the users of total data used in % with actual total used would be great.
