As far as I know there is no plan to change RouterOS license currently.
I would recommend to use higher quality CF to prevent license loss.
CF or any other memory has a lifetime so I will loose the license anyway. Especially in bad operating conditions. Thanks for reply.
Not really. There are good quality CF cards running for many years. RouterOS doesn’t write anything to disk, why should it stop working?
It will stop in frequent power loss. This is what happened in my case. Tested with kingston 2 and 4 GB CF cards.
Well, you should protect against power loss, as this can also damage the PC itself.
I recommend Sandisk Extreme pro, Lexar Pro or PQI industrial.
For me it is much easier to not think about it but to rely on the fact that I can always count on a new HDD without having to buy a new license. Thanks, anyway I will try Your recommendations. Thanks for reply.
You do not have to buy a new license, mikrotik support will issue a replacement.

Than, this is all what I need. Thanks Normis!

AFAIR, any change in Address Lists is written to disk, and it’s not possible to manually create dynamic entries not to write them on disk ![]()
