Feature request: https support for fetch command

Hello,

Wondering if I might be able to get https (and sftp) enabled for the fetch command?
Specifically for sites like this - https://customer-webtools-api.internode.on.net/unmetered_ip_address_list.txt
where only https is supported (the companies server has other username/password/usage responses they don’t want passing in plaintext)

Is this a possibility and is there anyone else out there currently using the fetch command who would benefit from this?

Yes, we want to authenticate ourselves to a proxy with the fetch tool and I think https support will help in some of these cases.

Or is there a better way to auth to a Squid/ISA/Forefront/usual ones ?
