I’ve been working since a while with ipsec-tools and l2tpns in linux as a server vpn. The most of the client are windows, native connections (ipsec/l2tp) or using a client ShrewSoft (great soft!).
Ipsec-tools let you simplify the connection using the mode_cfg (gather network information through ISAKMP mode configuration). The client Shresoft was developed to understand this and create the necessary interface and routes.
I was wondering if there is any plan to implement this in ROS, I mean ROS can take the advantage of this mode_cfg as a client to create the virtual interface.
