While talking with some guys at the MUM in Zagreb about supporting remote users with unstable or non-working configs, it suddenly occurred to me that it would be very useful indeed if it was possible to take a supout that a client could email to us, and we then could load that into winbox as a “read only” type of view of his setup at the moment just before it crashed / or had some problem. It would save me many hours of support and I think, be a very useful new feature for winbox.
We just talked about it with the developers. Such file would be very very large, and would take forever to make. We will consider some alternatives.

If so, then I agree as of course it has to be included inside the files onboard the RB to be downloaded and that would be difficult to find the storage room for, but some kind of “Graphical Supout Viewer” that has the same look and feel as Winbox would be VERY useful indeed.

Yes, so I can click around full GUI and look at settings, see everything just at the moment it crashed or generated the supout file. Sometimes user is not happy to always allow us full live access, sometimes the config crashes too fast to see what is wrong. What I would like is something like winbox but it can be webfig I guess if it was absolutely important. Just I like Winbox more and HAS to be a full GUI, not just a “print out” of settings
