In version 7.5, you added the “match subdomains” option, which is just perfect for use in environments where increased security is required. For example, we need to send requests to a specific site through vpn - we can send “wildcard *facebook.com” to an address-list routed to the tunnel.
But these same environments dictate the use of DoH, in which it is impossible to use a FWD record in static DNS records.
Why don’t you make it possible to use FWD at least in this case, for local queries? Such requests will not go further than the router.
