Feature Request : Mass update of configuration

Dude is missing very important feature, device (MT) mass upgrade of whole configuration or parts of it.
There are a lot of ways of doing this, by scripts and schedules, ftp auto.rsc pushes and so on, it’s all very complex and time consuming.
The easiest way is that you are able to select the devices from the list, maybe make a group of them, and select whole configuration file or just some parts of it like template.
All of this is only useful if you are monitoring 100+ devices and you need to set some options on 25 of them with.
Also if you have 100+ devices under monitoring, and you need to change SSID on virtual ap interface on half of them.
It’s already there for upgrading the ROS version, it can be made for configuration lines as well.

Cheers

Look at CAPsMAN

CAPsMAN has issues of its own, and it is very problematic on large scale networks like 200+ devices.
I believe the Dude can be upgraded so that it can support full of partial config provisioning.

IMHO for Dude to be anything like useful, it would have to be turned into an open and extensible system.
I.e. not running on RouterOS but on a plain Linux system where you can add things like that and could
share them with others. As it is now, it is a nice toy but you are hitting your head against the limitations
all the time…

TR-069 support was added recently and is made exactly for this purpose.
