as in subject. Scripts arte only bypass of missing functionality.
Sure. Anyway, I like my scripts. They are giving me freedom of use and can fastly react when anything changes on the services I am using (dnsexit). Even user friendly cockpit for famous ddns services could be a big help for majority of home users, mikrotik pushes their own ddns service, as you probably noticed. Can you imagine that mikrotik would support for free third party services that can generate extra money for others but not for mikrotik? I doubt.
… after longer reflection, I think, that you’re right. Could you tell me if there is a way to use MT ddns in multi WAN enviorment?
With scripts yes. Because by them you are just getting data and completing the Web service command to be sent to the ddns server. And you can tell whatever to it. Ddns service doesn’t care if the ip set in the command corresponds to the ip from which the command was received or not. So you don’t need to take care thru which wan are you sending the commands, they just have to be correct…
Mikrotik ddns is very limited and cannot be used like this.
