Feature Request - Option to hide Quick Set Page

I’ve been bit a few times by interfaces being changed whenever you click on “Save” on the Quick Set page which caused the router to be inaccessible. For example, if I had an IP address set for ether5 and it is connected to my network and no address set for ether1and ether1 is not connected to my network, if I change the IP address on the Quick Set page, it automatically assigns the new address to ether1 (removing it from ether5) rendering the router inaccessible.

I’ve also seen where someone changed the DHCP Pool information on the Quick Set page and, again, the router became inaccessible (assuming from the interface being switched) which caused me to have to factory-reset the router and start over.

Assuming this behavior is a “feature” and not a bug, can there be a check box in the Web Interface and WinBox to hide/remove the Quick Set page?

Thanks!

You can already do that.

  1. Click “Design skin”
  2. Uncheck “Quickset”
  3. Click Save
  4. Click “Design skin” again

You can even assign the newly made skin to certain user groups, or preinstall it before deploying devices.

Thanks for the reply–that worked great for the Webfig. Since my team mainly uses WinBox, it would still be nice to enable/disable it there, too.

Thanks, again…

That was already requested in the past. Please join the original thread and do not create new ones for the same.
