It would be nice but it wouldn’t be secure (information leakage).
So I disagree. I would go as far to ask for the RouterOS version to be removed as well from the login page.
The less identifying information about RouterOS to non-logged in users, the better.

Agree with chaos.
And all links to services should be removed … they should be accesible only after login even if they are permitted for particular networks.
You can see system identity already when you click ‘Graphing’ on the login page.
Cha0s: by default skin for security reasons I aggree… The less info the better!
Most of my devices can only be seen from inside my management network.
Maybe we can get a fully customizable login page by skinning some time? Logo, ID, firmware, links…
