Feature request: tcptraceroute

Hi all.

One utility that proves very handy on Linux boxes is tcptraceroute, which allows you to troubleshoot not being able to connect to a specific service when you can ping the host. Often this is due to nat, mangles and filters on routers between you and the host in question and tcpraceroute makes it very easy to discover where the problem is.

Can we please have this functionality in RouterOS as soon as possible?

Thanks - Lawrence

I’d rather say, “Please add TCP protocol to ICMP and UDP already available in traceroute” and send it to support@mikrotik.com

I would like to have tcptraceroute also

Bump

Just another request for this feature please. We would like it to help identifiy routers blocking connectios from us upstream to other parts of the internet.

show any benefit of using TCP protocol for traceroute/tracepath whatever. On linux you can have tcptraceroute and traceroute -T that does that for you.

I do not have any machine with Linux…

Having TCP traceroute is better than go onsite with pc on top of the tower…
