I would like to see a change to the telnet client to allow you to specify a destination port and maybe a source IP address. I’ve run into a couple support issues where it would have helped to use the remote MT device to test an smtp server or even a http server, just to make sure the port is open and accepting connections.

ahh… I found it in the command line. I guess I was only looking at winbox.
