It is pretty much a standard in most of the Caching products.

You could simply use IP redirection – or use an L2 redirect to most of the caches quite effectively.

While I’d like WCCP too I expect its not going anywhere since I’ve not seen any improvements to the protocol for ages and if I recall IPv6 redirection is not an option under WCCP - ie EOL

I would like to see WCCP support in MikroTik.

We have 4 cache servers using WCCP, and only because of WCCP i still have Cisco 7206 in my network. I really would like to get rid of it, but as we are on satellite link and those caches spare us 10-12Mbit of bandwidth, we are forced to use them.

Please, can we expect WCCP to be implemented in v6 ?
