Feature Request - Winbox - Reconnect

After a device connection is lost,
How about a reconnect button, Sometimes I work on some really dodgy links sometimes no layer3 and layer2 is particularly sketchy.

Just a reconnect button would save a bunch of time

Had 1 link I had to work over where i’d only get 30 - 40 seconds before it would time out.

There is no plans for such button,

  1. last IP address is saved in Winbox loader
  2. you can use saved routers with login/password from the Winbox router’s list.

Layer2 Winbox might be unstable and you should avoid it if possible.

I would also like to have such feature. You are right, I can connect from the list, but: when I receive “Router has been disconnected! / … other end is not responding!” message, I have to close the window, find the winbox shortcut, run the winbox again, select the device for connecting and connect again.

On this message window could be easily put “Reconnect” button that will not cause winbox termination, but re-cycle the connection attempt…

If not, why?
