if open any window for add new entry, and return to it after lost focus cursour always stand at first text field. Cursour should be stay at the same field that was be before lost focus;
pressing ctrl + left, ctrl + right should jump by word in the text fields;
should be combinations of keys for switching between windows;
make window mod for all subwindows, wndow can be opened outsite main winbox.
I really think. that all of that will be helpful for all users.
What I hate most is that when I need to duplicate e.g. firewall rule, I have to:
Open original rule
Click Copy button
Change and save new rule
Close window with original rule
First step is in most cases useless, because I’m already sure that I want to duplicate that rule, I don’t need to see it again. It would be much better to have copy either in right-click menu, or as button on toolbar, next to add/remove/enable/disable buttons. Especially annoying is that from time to time I forget to click Copy button and I change the original rule instead. And finally I have to close the window with original rule that I didn’t want to open in the first place.
I always thought you were doing it like a hard-core ROS admins: using CLI.
Some ssh client programmes support mouse copy done by simply marking text (left mouse button) and paste by simply clicking right mouse button … no needless diversion of concentration for searching Edit->Copy / Edit->Paste (or reverting to keyboard shortcuts).
I think that CLI is wonderful thing, great for automating things on several devices, mass changes, etc. But for simple changes, add few rules here and there, watch counters, etc, the right tool for the job is GUI. I consider myself to be #1 WinBox fan in the world (I’m willing to share the position but not go lower :).
