Few Issues, a little help PLEASE!!!

I’m having a few issues I wonder if I could receive some help on from more experienced MikroTik users.

  1. My RB750 is connected to Time Warner Cable. Time Warner provides a Static IP so I’ve set this IP as the IP address of the router. Problem is, when I go to the IP I get “Connection Refused” message from the router. I’ve checked the Firewall and the Proxy, there is nothing there I can see that would cause this problem. Any advice?

  2. Trying to setup ChangeIP script so that I can access other routers remotely using Winbox. These remote locations may not have static IP addresses (more likely PPPoE or Dynamic IP DSL) so I need the IP to update at ChangeIP so that I always have remote access. I think I have the script correct but where do I paste it? I’ve input it into the terminal window and it just paste the text and says nothing else.

  3. Having major memory issues with my RB750. In Winbox I go to “System > Resources” and see “Free Memory: 12.8Mib” and “Total Memory: 29.2Mib”. When free memory gets to about 11Mib the internet literally stops working and I have to reboot the router. I’ve tried deleting the proxy cache and the DNS cache, NEITHER ONE give me any additional memory. This is becoming a big problem, and help here is appreciated.

Do you have winbox enabled under IP services?

Sorry, should have clairified. I get the “Connection Refused” message when using the browser and going directly to the IP address. With Winbox using the IP address “Example: 76.183.199.199:8292” I have no problems.

BUT, this is only from my location, I’ve had two people test from different remote locations and they cant even get the error message in the browser, much less access Winbox.

Good news, you sent me to the right place.

I changed WWW to port 80 instead of 82 and all is well now. I can access the IP remotely (just tested at Proxy.org).

Now, on to my next issue.

Can ANYONE tell me where to paste the Change IP script?
