My cable internet connection is through a Docsis 3 modem which outputs to an ethernet port offering DHCP service and a WAN address. My eero router accepts this and everything works well. Centurylink has just begun to offer fiber to my location. Less expensive and much faster so I signed up. It should be installed soon, the drop cable has already been installed. BUT here is the problem..
My eero router does not support PPPoE so I have to live with the router/modem supplied , connecting the eero to their LAN port and therefor having double NAT.
SInce the Mikrotik router supports PPPoE can I use it to present a DHCP connection of a WAN address to my eero?
