Filtering Blackberry traffic

Hello all,

The question in short, how to distinguish Blackberry traffic from other type of traffics ? we have a problem that each blackberry device does connect directly and takes an ip adress from the dhcp thus reducing the available amount of ip addresses in the dhcp vlan range ..

We want to block blackberry completely from connecting to access point and taking an ip address, what can we do ? any help will be great …

Greetings …

Access List

are you talking about wireless AP where those devices shouldn’t connect? yes, make a wireless access list and filter by MAC address. usually the same manufacturer uses the same kind of MAC addresses.

Yes thank you both very much it is clear now

Hi, but how can i filter all the macs witch start with,
ie:
00:27:22:XX:XX:XX whats the syntax to do this.

Let me put this in another way, i want to block by the first 6 chars of the mac, but the other 6 could be anything, this is possible?..

Thanks!
