Is there any way to filter porn with Mikrotik?
IMO this system is not intended to do content filtering, but I am not an MT representitive. I just don’t see an easy way to manage it, though it is possible to do content filtering by using web-proxy + firewall - it would just be labor intensive to maintain.
I was thinking of a script+firewall rule that would check a black list of porn sites. If the domain is in the list it would drop it.
Well if you can get a list of IPs for Porn Sites, then just add them to an Address list, create a firewall rule with the list as destination and block.
‘Transparent proxy’ + access list provides you with something like HTTP firewall, probably it will be suitable for to drop different kind of sites.
I use an appliance from 8e6.com that passively observes the traffic at the edge and filters the necessary IP’s or users. Unfortunately, it is not free. I’ve heard of people having some luck running transparent proxy and Dan’s Guardian, which is free.
