Firewall/NAT Issues

I am hosting a Minecraft server (actually several) behind a hEX PoE Router. I have all the ports open in the NAT but not all appear open when I check through canyouseeme website. Also I have a webserver and outside of my network I can see the webpage, but inside the network (still using public IP) it goes to the router login. This is confusing because I would assume all traffic would be routed the same way (internally I am still checking the public ip).

My old ASUS Router I had only ports 30000-30100 for the Minecraft servers and 80 for my Webserver. I have the same on the Mikrotik but cannot access the Minecraft server with the public IP.

Thanks for the help.

Search for Hairpin NAT

And by the way, with your rules no wonder you are getting to the router itself: they are configured only for ether1.

Thank you!

If anyone is interested, this video is very good on how to accomplish this:

Steve is great, he hasn’t steered me wrong yet, one just has to get used to the hack cent.
