Currently i have firmware 3.18 on my RB2011UiAS, so i want to ask you, if i update will change something to me. I have RoS 6.20 and works great 6 months for now. What is adventages from updating firmware?
Generally, firmware upgrades target support for new hardware for a specific microcontroller architecture.
As long your device performs flawless, there is no real need to do that.
But on some platforms, after a firmware upgrade, older ROS versions may not work anymore,
e.g. upgrading to 3.24 prevented my Omnitik to run 6.29.1 without rebooting every few minutes.
So, unless there is a good reason I would apply an old principle: Never repair a working system.
