Firmware upgrade fail

Hi,

I’m trying to copy the upgrade package into the files list by dragging and dropping as I would with any of the many Mikrotiks I manage.
However when trying with one particular Mikrotik running 5.20 I get:
“Could not download file - write failed (6)”

The user account I am logged onto the Mikrotik has full access, what do I need to do upgrade this firmware?

Regards
Tenacious

Try to update using the QuickSet Feature while connected to the Internet

No quickset feature on ROS 5.20

Hi,

First, verify your RB “HDD”. Go to “system/resources”. Check bad blocks.
If bad bocks are 0.0% reboot your RB.
Finally, if this actions don’t allow upgrade the file the last option is “netinstall”. Extract a backup and update your RB with NETINSTALL. When your RB is update copy backup.

I hope it is helpful,

Thanks Carlos!
