So “firmware upgraded successfully” doesn’t mean “firmware upgraded successfully”.
Still, I suppose Mikrotik would have to pay licence fees to Microsoft if they used the well-worn phrase, “You may have to restart your computer after the update.”
I know you have to reboot for an OS upgrade but I’m sure that with firmware upgrades they’ve gone through previously without one.
Tried it anyway. The router’s come up again in that I can ping it and it appears in MNDP but if I try to connect to it with Winbox by wireless the log-on process starts and then I get a message that the server has refused the connection!!! Telnet just connects but then stops responding.
Never had that one before.
So it’s a trip out there tomorrow to see if I can sneak in through the ethernet to see what the problem is.
