Firmware upgrades.... necessary?

Folks-

I have a RB750G. If the router works exactly as I want it to, should I continue to upgrade as new firmware versions are released? I’m at 4.9 now. Or should I simply stay with 4.9 and follow the advice of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”? Is there any benefit to continued upgrades, if all works well?

If you don’t see any bugs, oddities stick with what works. I know operators who have 2.9.x still out there and it works. No reason for them to spend the energy to mess with them.
