First time user: quick question

Hi,

I’ve just booted a new RouterBoard RB450G for the first time and connected via WebFig and WinBox.

I have a quick question regarding licensing: My router says is came with a level 5 license, but when I look at the license printout it has blank spaces next to “Upgradable To”, “Features” and “Expires In”. It does report a software ID in the form of XXXX-XXXX (new-style?) and the correct license level (5).

Do I need to do anything to activate this? Check for updates says 5.26 is up to date, but the website shows 6.7 - is this something to do with the license?

Thanks for any assistance you can provide, everything else seems to be covered pretty well in the wiki, but I can’t find any reference to this issue.

Regarding the license I can’t help you but regarding the version I can tell you that the “check for updates” feature only checks for within same major version, which is 5 in your case. Just upload your desired packages of RouterOS version 6.
