Hello,
I have a FritzBox which I want to use with a cAP and a cAP ac access point. They should function only as access points, with all device management handled on the FritzBox. I have them set up to work mostly, I provision the Wi-Fi via CAPsMAN, have all Firewall and NAT rules disabled and run only a DHCP Client and Relay on the APs. Devices do receive their IP addresses from the FritzBox just fine, and they have internet access as well as local device access as well.
However, the devices connected via the APs do not show up in the list of devices on the FritzBox as online. I originally thought it would use DHCP somehow to show the online presence, but that does not seem to be the case. Now I assume, that there would be some kind of routing performed by the APs which masks that the packets come from a connected device, and it seems to the FritzBox, as if all the packets originate from the AP itself. I thought disabling the NAT might take care of that, but it does not seem to be that way.
How do I get the actual devices to show up as online in my FritzBox while they are connected to one of the MikroTik APs?
Thanks!
