Could you look at adding flent.org bandwidth test support to mikrotik built in. Even better would be the ability to graph things like link availability , rtt to a specific IP per route mark or per interface and tcp stream counts from fq_codel streams on a link for review as a graph later.
Such a complete tool is not a candidate for implementation inside a router. What you would need is a tool that uses an agent that you can install in the router (that would perform some datacollection), and then an application on your desktop that does the storage, analyzing, pretty graph generation, etc.
Incorporating that into the router would just be a parallel implementation of what RouterOS already can do with bandwidth testing, graphing, etc.
(although I would love to see additions to graphing to be able to graph arbitrary data like SNMP values, pingtime of a netwatch, etc)
When you want to run your favourite software on the router, and have a suitable device, consider using the new container feature in v7.
