force HomePage

Hi,
i want that when the hosts get to my wifi see my website page like a homepage. any idea what have to do? i tried to set up a hotspot but i dont no result. No idea.

thanks

Hidagar,

You can achieve this by using the Captive Portal feature of the Router OS’s Hotspot. It will require some editing of the default html files for the Hotspot which my get a bit complicated for some users. I suggest reading over the Hotspot documentation, it will give you some pointers on not only how to configure the hotspot, but also how to customize the HotSpot Servelet page to produce your desired results.

Hotspot Docs:

Section Referring To Servelet Customization:

As always, if you would prefer to have someone configure the Hotspot for you, you can find a list of Certified Mikrotk Consultants here:

Many thanks for the help,

Just one question more, i dont want the user must authentificate just see the homepage like defautl it is posible that disable the authentificate?

You could always enable the trial account and use it’s button to allow users to get online.
The trial account is also detailed in the above config.

This would always redirect users to the homepage/loginpage until they clicked the button to say “login to the internet” or whatever you want.

Doing this without the hotspot is quite difficult. It would require some rules to say that when a user first connected, the first http (web page) request they made would redirect to your page instead..however many programs make these sort of requests themselves so you couldn’t gurantee that the user would ever see your page.
