Is there any way to force command for RIP to get there routes? Had a new 532 as a AP and It would not find the rip table until I rebooted router many times. Then finally after pulling my hair out thinking I must have set up the routes wrong they decided to pop up.. Anybody else ever had this problem? All routers are on 2.9.42
AFAIK: RIP passively receives route announcements every X (usually 30) seconds. RIP cannot “go out and get routes”. Some implementations that uses multicast will send additional announcements when an IGMP membership query arrives. You might want to take a look at OSPF or BGP for a more responsive route mesh.
