Factory has Unifi AP network
We use CPE with Mikrotik Metal to get network for 1 camera inside forklift but i can choose only 2.4ghz which is crowded sometimes and 5ghz doesnt travel that far.
Is it possible any way to use dual band with CPE? Currently i can choose only 2.4ghz or 5ghz
Does anyone have a similar setup and could give me any recommendations?
Metal has single radio, so it can operate either in 2.4GHz band or in 5GHz band, but not in both at the same time. I don’t know if it’s supported, but if it was possible to set band to “auto”, then metal as station might be able to switch between both bands … but likely switch would be terribly slow.
Wireless interfaces are interfaces, you can configure what and how you want. It can get complex and you can do it in multiple ways, most likely, scripting is recommended here.
