Has anybody else noticed how slow the forum is since MikroTik had the outage and restored from backup? Now it seems to take more than 10 seconds after I click any link before it takes me to that.
Nope, it’s still fast here.
I did this test: https://ipv6-test.com/validate.php
It failed. It seems that forum.mikrotik.com still has an IPv6 AAAA record but is no longer listening on IPv6. This probably explains why it is slow for me.
Yes us mere peons are still using the older ipv4 technology.
Yesterday YES the forum was very slow for me for most of the Time I wanted to access the various posts.
Today the performance has improved significantly.
I do suspect that the MikroTik IT people are optimizing “the System” after their crash recovery.
BTW, MikroTik have not provided any form of transparency — where is the Post Mortem. A Modern COMPANY like MikroTik should be open ![]()
Right now IPv4 seems dead and only IPv6 works from here.
Recently on a forum, one MT employee said that they have converted most of their equipment to v7
Coincidence? I don’t think so.
Happened long before the power failure.
Don’t go looking for things which are not there.
Was down some minutes ago for me as well. 15 min later and forum started to work again.
Keep believing in regular “power failure”
The Mikrotik web site and forum both appear to be sluggish the last day or so.
It’s like it is having problems getting an established TCP connection to talk.
Yeah Jotne you were not wrong! Twas down for a short bit…
This morning December 22’nd 2021 , the forums are almost unresponsive. The problems started around a few days ago.
There is now a 6+ second delay on anything I click on in Mikrotik’s forum.mikrotik.com
Not sure - but from my point-of-view , it looks like it is falling apart somewhere near the Mikrotik side of the Internet.
Below , are some IPv4 and IPv6 pings & traceroutes from the public access btest server I host ( IPv4: 23.162.144.120 -and- IPv6: 2605:6340:0:1b::4 ) here in North Idaho.
