I operate a wisp and i am wondering if it is safe to upgrade to 7.2 stable. I am presently on 6.44.3 stable (since we received the router we did not upgrade the firmware, its a cccr1016). My main reason for this is to use fqcodel to reduce bufferbloat. Also as a workaround to using preseem? We dont use preseem but are considering implementing their technology in our network.
Any suggestions are welcome.
What is the question? You can just upload the 7.2 package and reboot.
There could be some minor configuration changes needed, depending on the complexity of the current setup, but 99% that upgrade will just work,
Mikrotik and Preseem have only a few things in common and are more like comparing apples and oranges. Preseem is a network appliance with billing etc and with a total different price range (at least 10 times or more).
