Frequency and its effect on range??

Confused
LTE is 2.6ghz and can connect users at 40km.
Wifi is 2.4ghz and can only connect users at max 1.3km (usually no more than 300 meters)
AFAIK… lower frequency = more penetration, further range..right…or am i missing something?

Your assumption is not correct. 2.4GHz wifi can connect users even at 100KM, distance is only affected by antenna type, amplifier and such things.

“Usually 300m” is because the clients have small antenna and bad quality radio.

LTE in mobile phones can’t work at 40KM, only special LTE devices can. So to say, you compare apples and oranges.
