Frequency changes low-latency behaviour

Hi!

We’ve bought two wireless boards named “Metal 5SHPn” and we’re really pleased with them. We are using them for wireless transmission of digital audio packets and we’re relying on packets arriving at receiver side within 12ms. So far, this seems to be quite good working (nv2), but I all of a sudden realized something very odd: While I’m using 5500 MHz, I get dropout - meaning packets are arriving too late, but as soon as I switch to 5700 MHz, everything runs smooth.

The frequency scanner shows nothing in neither of the two frequencies.

  1. What could be the reason for this observation?
  2. Could this be just by random and in result, this has nothing to do with the frequency?
  3. If so, what could I adjust additionally to improve low-latency throughput?

We’re using software version 6.2 and are transmitting multicast UDP-packets.

Any help would be appreciated.

All the best from Germany,
Herakles
