Frequent Disconnections on 20km Wireless Link with NetBox 5 AX (v7.16.2) + NV2 Protocol Setup

Hello everyone,

I have a point-to-point wireless link using two NetBox 5 AX devices with a clear line of sight over a 20km distance. The firmware version is 7.16.2, and the country is set to Canada.

Issue:

The connection establishes successfully, but it disconnects approximately every 1 minute and reconnects. I have tested all channels and frequencies, but the problem persists. The signal strength varies between -54 dBm and -70 dBm depending on the frequency.

Questions:

  1. What steps can I take to resolve the frequent disconnections?
  2. How can I manually enable the NV2 protocol in RouterOS v7.16.2?
